Look out for our beautiful Jersey cows famous for their high quality rich and creamy milk, which naturally high in butter fat is used to produce an amazing range of Jersey dairy products, made on the Island, from butter and ice-cream to yoghurt, clotted cream and cheese. Make sure you try some during your stay.
You may also notice beautiful parish churches, fields of seasonal crops and roadside stalls with honesty boxes selling fresh local produce.
Granite has been quarried in Jersey for hundreds of years and in various parts of the Island. Jersey has a large number of fine old granite houses featuring date stones which are built into the walls. Some may show the date of construction and the initials of the owners at the time whilst others commemorate the acquisition of a building by new owners or an important family event, such as a marriage.
